VOLT was initially issued with 1,000,000,000 units. Following an 800,000,000 VOLT direct burn and an additional 31,572,650 VOLT ecosystem burn, the current effective total supply is 168,427,350 VOLT. Distribution continues to follow the active base-station weight model.
Base station weight model
Each active base station receives 100 base-weight points. Structural weights are added through active linked nodes, decreasing layer by layer from 90 to 10 across ten layers as described in the whitepaper.
